Timotheé Chalamet has been on fire lately and he is showing no signs of slowing down. The 25-year-old actor is set to play a young Willy Wonka in the upcoming prequel Wonka slated for a March 17, 2023 release date. The first photos were recently released giving us our first look at Chalamet as the chocolate factory tycoon.
Chalamet’s charming looks and successful career has often been contrasted to a young Johnny Depp. Fast forward to today where he is now being compared to Depp in regards to them both portraying different versions of Wonka.
But in this version, we get a different take on the fan-favorite story from Roald Dahl. Wonka will take us on a journey of his life before he met the Oompa Loompas and owned the factory. Little details are known at the time but as more info rolls out, you can expect many updates here as I myself am a huge fan of Chalamet.
