This past Friday, Disney+ previewed a slew of new content coming to their streaming platform. Perhaps the most anticipated was Marvel’s Moon Knight that sees Oscar Isaac as the title character.
Isaac steps into the MCU as Marc Spector, a crime-fighting former US Marine with an identity disorder. Comicbook fans have been waiting for this anti-hero to be brought to life and are thrilled at the casting. Joining the series as an undisclosed villain is Ethan Hawke, who many found interesting given his take on starring in superhero films. My guess for Hawke’s character is either the Sun King or Bushman, although many are praying it’s Mephisto.
Isaac recently sat down with Variety and discussed what it was like working on the show.
“I could not wait to get to set, and it was the biggest workload I’ve ever had in my career and most challenging; by the sheer amount of stuff we had to do in eight months, and even yet, I couldn’t wait to get to set and work.”
Moon Knight debuts on Disney+ in 2022. The series will be comprised of six 40-50 minute episodes. If you want to scratch your itch for new content from Marvel, check out Hawkeye. It stars Jeremy Renner and Hailee Steinfield and begins streaming on November 24th.
