By now, the whole world has seen Spider-Man: No Way Home at least once (myself? 5 times so far.) If not, then be warned that spoilers are up ahead.

Since fans got a jolt of nostalgia seeing Andrew Garfield reprise his role as Peter Parker, they are dying for more. Fans on social media have planned to get #MakeTASM3 trend on January 8th in support of the third installment to Garfield’s franchise. There’s even a whole page,(@TASM3Advocates on Twitter), dedicated to the project. Now, years ago, this may not have made a difference. But these days, many changes have come from public outcry. One of the most recent films that was affected was Sonic the Hedgehog. People took to Twitter to express their distaste for the character’s overall appearance, which led to the studio making a change. Worked out well because Sonic went on to do amazing at the box office, with a sequel releasing later this year.

Garfield’s initial trilogy was cut short when the second film underperformed at the box office. In addition, there were alleged differences between the actor and people working on the film as well. Nonetheless, his performance during the 24 minutes he was on screen in NWH, he captivated audiences and had everyone buzzing. After all these years, the raw emotion and pain of losing Gwen were so visible within his acting. While many of us were quite eager to see Tobey Maguire return as the OG Spidey, it was Garfield who surprisingly stole the show. It was done in such a way that it did not take away from Tom Holland‘s story.

The graphic above has also been making its way around socials for a few weeks now. What’s ironic about all of this is that the topic of who the best Spider-Man is comes up quite often. Within that conversation, it is Garfield who ranks last 90% of the time. But after No Way Home, many saw the tick, tick…Boom! actor in a different light and have given him his props. Rumors have already swirled that Garfield has signed on to star in several projects for both Sony and Marvel Studios, but no further information has come to light. Some fans have even gone as far as petitioning Garfield to fight Tom Hardy‘s Venom, which actually wouldn’t be a bad idea seeing how the end of No Way Home left room for that to be a possibility.

Will this motion from fans convince Sony to explore the option of bringing Garfield’s third film to life? Watch on Twitter on January 8th as fans take a stab at making it happen!
