After being absent for two years due to COVID, SXSW is making its return. The popular festival held in Austin announced its film lineup today. There is a little bit of something for everyone, with several big-name premieres.
The highly anticipated season 3 of the hit show, Atlanta, will showcase its first episode on March 19th. It stars Donald Glover, Brian Tyree Henry, LaKeith Stanfield, and Zazie Beetz.
The action-adventure comedy, The Lost City starring Channing Tatum, Sandra Bullock, and Daniel Radcliffe, will get its world premiere on March 12th.
The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent is a unique film where Nicholas Cage plays himself with Pedro Pascal portraying a rich super-fan. Tiffany Haddish and Neil Patrick Harris round out the cast with a premiere date of March 12.
A personal favorite that isn’t a headliner but will be on the Midnighters list is X. It follows a group of young filmmakers that set out to make an adult film, but end up finding themselves fighting for their lives. The cast includes Mia Goth, Jenna Ortega, Martin Henderson, Brittany Snow, and Scott Mescudi (Kid Cudi).
