The long awaited series has been on many fans radars since the character was first announced to make a comeback in December 2021. The official trailer was initially set to release on Monday, January 13 but due to the LA wildfires, it was postponed to this morning. A cryptic “7 AM PT” message appeared on the studios’ social media pages which prompted many fans to speculate that the trailer was almost here.
Netflix’s Daredevil became a huge hit among both casual and avid comic book fans. The series ran for three seasons from 2015 to 2018. When it was announced that the series was canceled, many viewers and the cast were devastated. At the time, Charlie Cox explained that he was looking forward to a fourth season but he had hopes that he would one day return to portray the character again. A fan-led campaign called #SaveDaredevil began where fans would go on social media and make petitions for the series to return.
Since the announcement of the series’ revival, Cox and D’Onofrio have made their debuts in the MCU. Cox made his character appearances in She-Hulk: Attorney at Law, Spider-Man: No Way Home, and Echo. D’Onofrio revived Wilson Fisk in both Echo and Hawkeye.
Daredevil: Born Again showcases Wilson Fisk and Matt Murdock as they face off once again. Murdock fights for justice through his law firm while Fisk pursues his own political endeavors in New York. When these characters meet once again, both men will find themselves on an inevitable collision course.
Dario Scardapane is set as showrunner while Justin Benson & Aaron Moorhead, Michael Cuesta, Jeffrey Nachmanoff and David Boyd are set to direct some episodes. Starring alongside Cox and the returning cast are Margarita Levieva, Zabryna Guevara, Nikki M. James, Genneya Walton, Arty Froushan, Clark Johnson, Michael Gandolfini with Ayelet Zurer. The series is set to premiere on Disney+ on March 4 at 6 p.m PT/ 9 p.m. ET and it will contain 9 episodes.
