The Running Man

Edgar Wright debuted explosive footage from his modern reimagining of The Running Man, starring Glen Powell as a man hunted across the globe in a deadly televised competition. Hosted by Colman Domingo’s flamboyant showman, the dystopian spectacle turns survival into mass entertainment. This adaptation has been highly anticipated for a while, so this definitely got the crowd excited!
The footage teased massive action set pieces, including a crashing plane, long-take chase sequences, and inventive close-quarters combat. Wright’s style is really at the forefront as he promises a bold, high-energy reinvention of the Stephen King classic we know and love.
Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning

Tom Cruise took the CinemaCon 2025 stage to honor Val Kilmer before debuting exclusive footage from what’s being billed as the final chapter of the Mission: Impossible franchise. The trailer opens with a jaw-dropping set piece of Ethan Hunt clinging to a yellow plane mid-dogfight.
The footage leans heavily into nostalgia, revisiting iconic moments from past films as Ethan interfaces with a computer that digitizes his vision. Packed with familiar thrills and high-stakes spectacle, The Final Reckoning positions itself as a greatest-hits farewell for the long-running action series.
Smurfs

Paramount unveiled a first look at the new animated Smurfs film, led by Rihanna, who also voices Smurfette. The footage opens with Gargamel being humorously muted before cutting to a musical party in Smurf Village set to new Rihanna tracks.
When a mysterious flower transports the Smurfs into the real world, the story shifts into a live-action hybrid adventure involving Gargamel and his brother. Featuring a soft, stylized animation reminiscent of The Peanuts Movie, the film appears aimed squarely at younger audiences with pop-heavy humor and bright visuals.
The SpongeBob Movie: The Search for SquarePants

Mark Hamill and Tom Kenny introduced the first footage from SpongeBob’s latest big-screen adventure. Framed by a live-action pirate intro, the film sees SpongeBob setting out to become a “big man,” inspiring an epic nautical quest with Patrick in tow.
Their journey leads them straight into the clutches of the Flying Dutchman, who drags them into the underworld for a series of absurd, imagination-fueled challenges. The footage blends live-action and 3D animation, delivering classic SpongeBob chaos with a fresh visual twist.
Roofman

Derek Cianfrance’s Roofman tells the strange-but-true story of Jeffrey Manchester, a polite thief who robbed dozens of McDonald’s by entering through their roofs. Channing Tatum stars as Manchester, balancing charm, criminal ingenuity, and a deep love for his daughter. It’s a wild story that many of us might remember when it unfolded years ago.
After escaping jail, Manchester hides out in a Walmart attic, forming unexpected relationships with employees played by Kirsten Dunst and Peter Dinklage. Equal parts crime caper and character study, Roofman marks a tonal shift for Cianfrance and looks like a tailor-made star vehicle for Tatum.
The Naked Gun

Paramount also revealed the first trailer for The Naked Gun legacy sequel, directed by Akiva Schaffer and starring Liam Neeson, Pamela Anderson, and Paul Walter Hauser. While details remain limited, the footage shows a return to the franchise’s trademark absurdity with a modern comedic spin. This beloved franchise could be a hit with a new generation of moviegoers.
