Fan favorite director Luca Guadagnino has a new release out this month called After the Hunt, featuring Julia Roberts, Andrew Garfield, Ayo Edebiri, and Michael Stuhlbarg. It follows a young college (Edebiri) student who confides in her favorite professor (Roberts) that one of her peers has assaulted her. When she is met with confusion and doubt, she finds it wise to further report the incident, ultimately leading to the firing of the professor (Garfield). The story ventures through twists and turns, making the viewer question whether she is telling the truth or not, right in the heat of the moment “Me, too” movement. As the film unfolds, you’re taken on toned down visual experience of beautiful hues and unique lower third angles. Our journalist and editor, Chalice Williams, spoke with Malik Hassan Sayeed, the cinematopher behind the film as he dives everything from the shots and coloring of the film, to working with Guadagnino and landing on a shooting style. See the interview below.
After The Hunt is in theaters October 10th.

I'm a big movie buff that also loves NFL football. Interviewing talent associated with films is one of my favorite things to do as there is nothing more special then diving into a project with the people who made them happen.
