‘Cobra Kai: Season 6 Part 3’ – What to Look Forward To

‘Cobra Kai’ gears up for its final chapter and here’s what fans can expect.

Cobra Kai has become an instant hit among Karate Kid fans and the new generation of viewers alike. The first two seasons of the series were set as a YouTube original until it was moved to Netflix where it became the most-watched series on the platform. Taking place 34 years after the events of the original 1984 The Karate Kid film, we get to see the continued rivalry between Johnny Lawrence and Daniel LaRusso.

Six seasons later, the Cobra Kai series will officially come to an end on February 13 and even though we have to wait a few more days to see how the series will end, here are some of our thoughts on what can be expected in the final part. Fair warning: The following will contain spoilers from Part 2.

Mr. Miyagi’s Mysterious Past

Daniel LaRusso’s former sensei and friend had a dark past before they met in the 80s. LaRusso finds out that Miyagi was once part of the Sekai Takai when he was a young man where his competitor was killed during a match. As disturbing as it is to find out that the one person Daniel looked up to for many years as a killer, is something that doesn’t sit right with the character.

It isn’t clear if we will know more of Miyagi’s past in the final part but if it does, it can set up the story for the upcoming Karate Kid film.

A Student is Dead: Does the Sekai Takai Continue or get Cancelled?

One of the most surprising shockers in Part 2 was the death of Cobra Kai’s Kwon Jae-Sung. During Robbie’s match with Axel of the iron Dragons, a fight ensues with the captain of the disqualified Russian team, Tiger Strike, when he attacks Gunther Braun, the head of the Sekai Takai committee. This resulted in an all-out brawl with each fighter attacking one another. When Kwon gets his hands on John Kreese’s eunjangdo (a Korean knife), he tries to use it in attacking Axel but ends falling on to the blade, killing him instantly.

This left everyone stunned, especially those who were watching the event on a livestream. The last thing viewers see is Gunther calling for the feed to be cut.

As much as Kwon’s death left both the viewers and those attending the event filled with grief and despair, it looks like the Sekai Takai will continue despite the tragedy. An investigation may occur to see how Kwon acquired the weapon and from the looks of the final trailer that was released a few days ago, Robbie and Axel will take place once again on the mat.

Will there be a Sekai Takai winner?

This is one of the most exciting questions that is set to be answered in the finale. From a fan’s perspective, it would be amazing to see our favorite team win the Sekai Takai. Nothing is for certain and with the many twists and turns this series has given fans over the years, anyone can take the title.

The final part of the series will consist of five episodes. All five seasons of Cobra Kai including Part 1 and 2 of the sixth and final season are available on Netflix. The cast includes Ralph Macchio, Willian Zabka Xolo Maridueña, Tanner Buchanan, Peyton List, Jacob Bertrand, Mary Mouser and Martin Kove.
