If any studio comes to play, it’s Warner Borthers. The are far from new to the CinemaCon scene, so they know they have some stiff competion, but they always come prepared. They gave us some deeper peeks at titles we were already expecting and some first looks at some new on the way. Let’s see whats coming down the pipe line from WB!
Superman
Release Date: July 11, 2025
Director: James Gunn
The footage opens with Superman crashing into the Arctic, badly injured, whistling to summon Krypto. The super-dog arrives in a flurry of snow and enthusiastically jumps on him, causing Superman to groan in pain. When Superman commands, “Take me home,” Krypto drags him across the frozen tundra as the crystalline Fortress of Solitude rises in the distance.
Inside the Fortress, automatons carry Superman to a sun-powered healing chamber. When he attempts to thank them, they inform him they are not sentient. The clip blends into previously released trailer footage before ending on a playful note, with Superman nearly leaving Krypto behind before allowing him to tag along.
Gunn has officially labeled this as the start of the “Summer of Superman”!
F1
Release Date: February 27, 2026
Director: Joseph Kosinski
CinemaCon attendees were treated to an extended ten-minute preview of Joseph Kosinski’s F1, offering a fast-paced first look at the filmmaker’s return to the big screen. The footage opens with Brad Pitt’s character, Sonny, a veteran Formula One driver, performing pull-ups in his trailer before entering a race.
The racing sequences are quite loud and beautifully shot, and I can immediately tell this will hit hard in IMAX. After the race, Sonny interacts with a manager (Shea Whigham), insisting that his racing days are behind him. The footage then shifts to a laundromat meeting with Javier Bardem’s character, Ruben, his former F1 teammate, who proposes that Sonny come out of retirement to mentor a younger driver (who we later find out is Damson Idris).
They finish off showing the trailer, which doubles down on the high-octane vibes that we’re already expecting from a film from this sport in particular.
One Battle After Another
Release Date: September 26, 2025
Director: Paul Thomas Anderson
The reveals continue as WB unveiled an exclusive scene from Paul Thomas Anderson’s One Battle After Another, offering a mix of paranoia, tension, and dark humor. The clip follows Leonardo DiCaprio’s Bob Ferguson as he frantically argues with a rebel over the phone, desperately seeking a rendezvous point.
As Bob spirals, Benicio Del Toro’s character quietly searches the apartment, inspecting beds, cupboards, and cleaning a rifle. Comrade Josh refuses to cooperate, mocking Bob and pushing him to some funny, yet unhinged behavior. Bob launches into a rant about his drug addiction before threatening to call in a Greyhawk 10 strike.
The scene evokes the offbeat energy of Inherent Vice and DiCaprio’s manic turn in Once Upon a Time in Hollywood. This one is sure to be a crowd pleaser, much like anything DiCaprio is in.
Final Destination: Bloodlines
Release Date: May 16, 2025
Directors: Zach Lipovsky and Adam Stein
In a turn of events, we were given a sneak peek at the latest installment of the franchise with an exclusive clip from Final Destination: Bloodlines. The footage centers on two brothers in a hospital attempting to cheat death without harming others, and boy did it make you cringe with how gruesome it was.
The brothers devise a dangerous plan involving a peanut allergy and an EpiPen, leading them into an MRI room that is accidentally activated mid-reaction. As the machine’s magnetic force increases, chaos ensues: piercings are violently ripped from flesh, bodies are crushed, and panic escalates.
Just when survival seems possible, fate intervenes in classic Final Destination fashion, resulting in a gruesome and ironic death. Looks to have the potential to revamp the franchise,
Weapons
Release Date: August 8, 2025
Director: Zach Cregger
Another original horror film on the way with Weapons, the follow-up to Zach Cregger’s Barbarian. The trailer opens with children arriving at school as narration explains a mysterious event in which all the students from one classroom vanish.
Julia Garner (Ozark) plays a teacher whose class disappeared, immediately having her entire town turn against her. Josh
Brolin portrays a grieving father who angrily demands answers. The trailer escalates with disturbing imagery, including blood, self-harm, and a chilling shot of children crashing through a school.
The footage ends with a teenager encountering an eerie, out-of-focus figure in the woods. Weapons looks like it’ll keep you guessing, positioning it as a major horror release for Warner Bros. and New Line Cinema.
The Cat in the Hat
Release Date: February 27, 2026
Directors: Alessandro Carioni and Eric Rivinoja
We were treated to an unfinished trailer for Warner Bros. Animation’s The Cat in the Hat following a comedic introduction from Bill Hader. The footage opens on a neighborhood spiraling into chaos before the Cat breaks the fourth wall and proudly declares success.
The trailer reveals the Cat works for an “imagination corporation” populated by bizarre characters, in true Dr. Seuss fashion. Threatened with losing his job, he’s sent to bring whimsy to two children, who immediately mace him, leading to a hilariously uncomfortable meltdown.
The clip ends with the reveal of numerous “Things,” expanding well beyond Thing 1 and Thing 2. Despite it not being a finished trailer, the animation shows promise, and the humor lands, making Hader the perfect fit for the role. The man really is great at anything he takes a stab at.
The Bride!
Release Date: March 6, 2026
Director/Writer: Maggie Gyllenhaal
If there was anything that really blew my mind unexpectedly, it was The Bride! Maggie Gyllenhaal’s bold reimagining of the Frankenstein story was extremely unique. The footage opens with Jessie Buckley’s character dying after a fall, followed by vibrant black-and-white imagery of her body lying on a table.
Christian Bale appears as Frankenstein’s Monster, smiling as the Bride awakens. This leads into a chaotic montage of violence that will remind you of Natural Born Killers. The trailer ends with a shot of Buckley’s severed head preserved in a jar. Fairly fitting, Jake Gyllenhaal also stars in his sister’s directorial debut, making this a bittersweet moment. It’s no secret that The Bride! will be one of CinemaCon’s most talked-about presentations.

I'm a big movie buff that also loves NFL football. Interviewing talent associated with films is one of my favorite things to do as there is nothing more special then diving into a project with the people who made them happen.
