WWE’s Money In The Bank Pay-per-view which took place on Saturday, June 7, 2025, at the Intuit Dome in Inglewood, Los Angeles, California, did more than exceed our expectations.

Of course, there’s always that one superstar to root for to win in the women’s, and in the men’s MITB match, and there’s also that superstar predicted to secure the briefcase. Your predictions may be right, or it may be wrong too, but I’ll let you be the judge.

The Women’s MITB Ladder Match

In this match 6-women consisting of Alexa Bliss, Rhea Ripley, Roxanne Perez, Stephanie Vaquer, Gulia, and Naomi competed for the MITB briefcase. Apart from Alexa Bliss who won the MITB match in 2018, and made history by cashing it in and winning the women’s championship the same night, no other woman in that match had ever won the Money In The Bank briefcase.

This year’s women’s Money In The Bank match has a new winner. I mean, the women gave us their all including Stephanie Vaquer who had been in two matches before entering her third match in the MITB but Naomi won the 2025 MITB ladder match fair and square. I believe we all know what this means right? Just in case you don’t know, it means that whoever she chooses to cash in on should better proceed with caution!

The next match was for the Intercontinental Championship match. This match was between “Dirty” Dominic Mysterio vs Octagon Jr. It was an impromptu match set up earlier at the AAA event after Dominic challenged Octagon with his I.C Title on the line. Dominic secured the victory over Octagon and retained his Intercontinental Championship title with the help of Liv Morgan who served as a distraction to the referee, allowing Dominic to regain control and defeat Octagon.

Becky Lynch Vs Lyra Valkyria For The Women’s Intercontinental Championship

I know this might come as a shock to some people who were rooting for Lyra to retain her championship but it is what it is. Becky defeated Lyra and is now the New women’s Intercontinental Champion. Although Becky won by crook —I said crook because she held onto Lyra’s pants which the referee didn’t see— Lyra stood by her word and raised Becky’s hand.

The Men’s MITB Ladder Match

Just like the women’s MITB match, the men’s MITB match consisted of 6-men namely, Seth Rollins, Solo Sikoa, LA Knight, El Grande Americano, Penta, and Andrade. Here’s where your predictions came in handy.

If you predicted that Seth Rollins’ clique of Bron Breakker and Big Bronson Reed would come in somewhere during the match to help him win, you’re correct. If you predicted that Solo Sikoa’s clique of Jacob Fatu, and JC Mateo will also come in to help solo win, you’re also right. However, while the former did their job, the latter stopped halfway through the job.

Here’s what happened with Solo Sikoa; After clearing the ring, when it was time for Solo to climb the ladder and get the briefcase, Jacob stopped Solo in his tracks and got back at him for badmouthing him and calling him “all gas and no brains” on Friday Night SmackDown.

Afterwards, Seth Rollins saw an opening and made good use of it to win the 2025 MITB match.

John Cena and Logan Paul Vs Cody Rhodes and Jey Uso

This match is the perfect definition of a happy ending. No one, not even a seer could have predicted what happened in this match! Oh, yes, Cody Rhodes defeated John Cena and picked up the victory for his team but that was after someone on all-black attacked John with the WWE title. The person would later reveal himself to be R-Truth.

Just in case you didn’t know, WWE released R-Truth last week and that move was the most emotional for both fans and his fellow superstars. Following his release, on Monday Night Raw, the WWE universe kept chanting “We want Truth,” even on Friday Night SmackDown. On X, the hashtags of #WeWantTruth kept trending and it could be said that WWE heard the voices of its universe and granted them their wish.
