NBC is betting big on comedy this winter with the launch of its new series The Fall and Rise of Reggie Dinkins, a star-driven sitcom led by Emmy-nominated comedian Tracy Morgan. The series will make its special premiere on Sunday, Jan. 18, airing at 10 p.m. ET / 7 p.m. PT, or immediately following NBC’s coverage of the NFL playoff matchup between the Los Angeles Rams and the Chicago Bears. Smart move on their part to preview it in a high-profile time slot to introduce the show to a massive audience.
After its initial debut, The Fall and Rise of Reggie Dinkins officially settles into its regular schedule beginning Monday, Feb. 23. That night will feature an encore presentation of the pilot at 8 p.m., followed by a brand-new episode at 8:30 p.m. The series will continue airing Mondays at 8:30 p.m. for the remainder of its first season. For viewers who prefer streaming, all episodes will be available the next day on Peacock.
The 10-episode comedy stars Morgan as Reggie Dinkins, a once-beloved figure attempting to navigate a comeback after a spectacular fall from grace. While NBC has kept specific plot details under wraps, the series promises a character-driven comedy that blends sharp satire with heartfelt moments—an approach that aligns with the creative pedigree behind the project.

The show is co-created and co-showrun by Robert Carlock and Sam Means, both longtime collaborators of Tina Fey, who also serves as an executive producer. The executive producing team includes Carlock, Means, Fey, Morgan, Eric Gurian, David Miner, and others, signaling a strong comedy lineage rooted in modern NBC classics.
Joining Morgan in the main cast are Daniel Radcliffe, Erika Alexander, Bobby Moynihan, Precious Way, and Jalyn Hall, bringing together an eclectic mix of comedic and dramatic talent. The series also boasts an impressive lineup of guest stars throughout the season, including Heidi Gardner, Ronny Chieng, Anna Camp, Corbin Bernsen, Craig Robinson, and Michael Kosta.
Produced by Universal Television, a division of Universal Studio Group, in association with Little Stranger, Inc., 3 Arts Entertainment, Bevel Gears, Means Ends Production, and Streetlife Productions, The Fall and Rise of Reggie Dinkins positions itself as one of NBC’s marquee comedy offerings for the season.
With its strategic NFL lead-in, powerhouse creative team, and stacked cast, the series is poised to make a strong first impression as it charts Reggie Dinkins’ chaotic, comedic journey back into the spotlight.

I'm a big movie buff that also loves NFL football. Interviewing talent associated with films is one of my favorite things to do as there is nothing more special then diving into a project with the people who made them happen.
