Gen V is returning for a second season, set to be released this fall. It’s been two years since fans got a taste of the world of The Boys through the eyes of super-powered college students. The official trailer for the upcoming season was released on May 31 and with the trailer now available, there have been many questions. Here is what we know about season 2 of Gen V.

Gen V fans can expect to watch season 2 on Prime Video on September 17, 2025.
Who will appear in this new season?
We will be seeing both familiar faces and newcomers stepping into Godolkin University this season. The cast set to appear this new season is as follows:

Chance Perdomo, who played Andre Andrerson, tragically passed away in a motorcycle crash in March 2024. Amazon confirmed that his role would not be recast and his storyline would be adjusted.
Who are the masterminds behind the show?
Gen V was co-created by Michele Fazekas and Tara Butters. Executive producers include The Boys’ showrunner Eric Kripke, Seth Rogen, Evan Goldberg, James Weaver, Neal H. Moritz, Ori Marmur, Pavun Shetty, Ken Levin and Jason Netter. The series is produced by Sony Pictures Television and Amazon Studios with Kripke Enterprises, Point Grey Pictures and Original Film.
How are each episode going to be released?
Season 2 will have a 3-episode premiere on September 17. After that, the rest of the episodes will be released one episode weekly, with the season finale dropping on October 22.
What’s the official plot of Season 2?
Per Amazon’s description, it reads:
“As the rest of America adjusts to Homelander’s iron fist, back at Godolkin University, the mysterious new Dean preaches a curriculum that promises to make students more powerful than ever. Cate and Sam are celebrated heroes, while Marie, Jordan, and Emma reluctantly return to college, burdened by months of trauma and loss. But parties and classes are hard to care about with war brewing between Humans and Supes, both on and off campus. The gang learns of a secret program that goes back to the founding of Godolkin University that may have larger implications than they realize. And, somehow, Marie is a part of it.”
